Four-star WR turns down OSU for Michigan
This battle goes to Jim Harbaugh.
Four-star wide receiver Ahmir Mitchell announced on Thursday that he’ll enroll at Michigan instead of Ohio State on Thursday. Mitchell is the No. 3 ranked New Jersey recruit in the 2016 class and is the third from the state to commit to the maize and blue.

He became the 23rd recruit of Harbaugh’s first class, which is No. 9 in the 247Sports class rankings. Mitchell had offers from Alabama, Florida State and Michigan State, but officially declared his final two schools on Sunday.
Though Michigan already has a deep 2016 class, Mitchell is only the second receiver to commit. The 6-3, 203-pound high school senior is ranked No. 130 overall and is the third highest rated recruit in Michigan’s 2016 class.
Urban Meyer lost out on Mitchell but Ohio State still boasts the top 2016 class, according to the 247Sports rankings.
