R.J. Young sat down to discuss who he thinks will win the B1G this season. Young made the pick on ‘The Number One College Football Show” on Wednesday.

Out of all the teams in the B1G, Young believes that Michigan will win the B1G for the third season in a row. The Wolverines are returning a lot of talent, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Young believes that this is Michigan’s best team since last season.

“I got Michigan winning the B1G. They’re at No. 2 in my rankings to start the preseason. This is Michigan’s best team since last year. The Wolverines have their best team since 1997, and a lot of it has to do with the backfield. J.J. McCarthy is good enough to compete towards Heisman consideration. I think the votes will be split between he and another dude that’s back there named Blake Corum.”

McCarthy and Corum will be a deadly duo on the Michigan offense, especially if the Michigan RB can replicate last season’s numbers. Corum had 1,463 yards rushing with 19 total touchdowns. In McCarthy’s first season as starting QB, he had 2,719 yards passing with 27 total touchdowns.

It’s not hard to see how Michigan could potentially win the B1G again. The Wolverines open the year against East Carolina on Sept. 2.

Kickoff will be at Noon ET on Peacock.
