Juwan Howard wasn’t in a very pleasant mood following Michigan’s 83-67 loss to Michigan State on Saturday afternoon. After getting blown out of the Breslin Center, why would he be?

Saturday’s game was originally set to the best the second of two head-to-head matchups between the in-state rivals this season. The first was scheduled for Jan. 8 in Ann Arbor, but a COVID-19 pause postponed that meeting.

After the game, Howard was asked about a potential make-up date for the meeting at Crisler Center. The Michigan head coach said he had “no clue,” and that reporters would need to ask the B1G about the situation.

Pressed a little more about the game, Howard fired back with a clear message.

“We are gonna play whoever, wherever, whenever,” Howard responded. “Got it?”

Howard is in the middle of a frustrating season with the Wolverines. After winning a B1G regular season title last season, Michigan sits just 10-8 on the season and is at .500 in conference play at 4-4.

After Saturday’s less-than-impressive outing against Michigan State, there’s no question Howard and the Wolverines would like another shot at their rival in Ann Arbor.
