CHICAGO — Jim Harbaugh’s rap video had some mixed reviews.

Some, like Michigan fans, ate it up. How many Division I coaches take time out of their busy schedules to star in a rap video?

Others, like the Ohio State fans who made a parody video of it, weren’t impressed. They argued that Harbaugh yelling “Who’s got it better than us?” is ironic when Michigan hasn’t won a conference title in over a decade.

But according to Harbaugh, there was a specific type of hater.

“It’s only uptight white people that don’t like it,” Harbaugh said of the rap.

He might be a little biased there, but there didn’t appear to be an overwhelming argument against him. After all, this is the guy responsible for more off-the-field shenanigans than perhaps any coach in the country.

When Harbaugh gets approached for opportunities outside of his traditional duties — like a rap video — his policy is consistent.

“My default is usually yes,” Harbaugh said. “Why not? The reaction has been very good. I’ve gotten multiple texts, comments, phone calls, from people who really like it.

“And I think the cool people like it.”
