Heisman contender? PFF analyst has major praise for Michigan DE Aidan Hutchinson
Aidan Hutchinson is having some kind of final season in Ann Arbor.
The NFL draft hopeful had 3 sacks and 7 total tackles Saturday in Michigan’s 21-17 win over Penn State. On the season, he’s up to 9 sacks now, the 2nd-most among Big Ten defenders and 11th-most in all of college football. Most mock drafts have him firmly in the 1st round of the upcoming draft.
The folks at PFF would like to take the Hutchinson conversation a step further.

Hutchinson is enjoying a career year in his senior season with the Wolverines. After an injury limited him to just 3 games in 2020, Hutchinson returned to Ann Arbor a man on a mission. He’s a semifinalist for the Bednarik Award and a finalist for the Lombardi Award. On Dane Brugler’s recently-updated draft big board, Hutchinson was ranked as the 6th overall prospect.
Elite edge rushers have become one of the most coveted commodities in football. If a team has an elite guy on the edge, it has a legitimate game-changer. Hutchinson has been that often in 2021.
