Michigan is on the brink of a trip to the B1G Championship Game, but a tough test in a rivalry showdown stands in the way.

The Wolverines enter “The Game” against Ohio State ranked No. 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings and locked into the fourth spot. Still, the No. 10 Buckeyes would love nothing more than to spoil Michigan’s season and will throw everything at the Wolverines today.

One question Michigan has been battling this week leading up to Saturday’s kickoff is the status of star DL Chase Winovich. Winovich was banged up in the win over Indiana with his status for the matchup against Ohio State put into question.

However, as of Saturday morning, Jon Henschke with the Michigan Insider on 247 Sports is reporting that Winovich has been cleared to play against the Buckeyes:

No official news has been reported by the university, but getting Winovich cleared for the OSU game would be a big break for Jim Harbaugh’s squad.
