Maurice Hurst was in need of some good news.
The former Michigan star didn’t get that before the NFL Scouting Combine that he had a heart condition that put his football career in jeopardy. As a result, Hurst was unable to participate in the combine.
But on Thursday, he reportedly got some huge news.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Hurst was cleared for full participation at Michigan’s pro day after meeting with cardiologists at Harvard and Michigan:
Michigan’s potential first-round pick Mo Hurst has met with cardiologists at University of Michigan and Harvard, and they have cleared him to resume playing football, per league source. Hurst will do a full workout at Michigan's pro day on Friday.

That’s quite the lift for Hurst, who was projected as a first-round pick before his heart condition, but has been a bit of a mystery projection the last few weeks.
It’s unknown what Hurst will look like on Friday if he’s been limited with his condition.
At the very least, though, it appears that Hurst will have a chance to take matters into his own hands on Friday at Michigan’s pro day.
