Iowa Wave: Michigan participates in tradition for first time since inception
The Iowa Wave is known as one of the best traditions in college football. With the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital peeking over Kinnick Stadium, the Iowa Hawkeyes look to the hospital after the end of the first quarter and wave to cheer up sick children that are staying there.
The tradition debuted in 2017, and Michigan hadn’t played at Kinnick since its inception. Naturally, the Wolverines took the opportunity this week to partake in the wave.
Players, fans, and media alike were able to give the kids at the hospital a wave of benevolence.
The Wolverines currently lead 10-0 over the Hawkeyes, but in the midst of a B1G matchup, the two teams were able to pause action and celebrate the children.
