Jack and Jackie Harbaugh gush about Michigan win, detail superstitious seat change
Jack and Jackie Harbaugh, Jim’s parents, might have had something to do with Michigan’s Rose Bowl win.
The two went to the Rose Bowl to cheer on their son Jim Harbaugh as Michigan beat Alabama 27-20 in overtime to advance to the national championship in Houston. Jackie was so proud of her son in the interview on the field after the game.
“Are you kidding me? They won,” said Jackie. “What’s better than that?”
Jim’s father treated everyone to the Harbaugh family saying. It sounds like the Michigan head coach has some proud parents in his corner.
“We’ve got a saying in our family that goes something like this,” said Jack. “Who’s got it better than us? Nobody!”
It appears that the Harbaughs may have used some superstition to help the Wolverines win. Jim’s parents opted to swap seats with each other late during the game as Michigan went on the long drive which ultimately tied the game at 20.
“The biggest play in the game was right before the long drive, Jackie decided that we should switch seats,” said Jack. “I moved to her seat, and she moved to mine, and this is the result that we get.”
“Are you kidding me?! They won! What’s better than that?!”
