Jalen Rose is a proud Michigan product and former star for Wolverine basketball. A member of the Fab 5 and former teammate of Michigan head coach Juwan Howard, Rose is an outspoken supporter of all things Wolverine.

During Monday’s airing of ESPN’s “Jalen and Jacoby,” Rose shared how he was back in Ann Arbor and in the Big House for the Week 3 game against UConn. He admitted he was loving the beatdown of the Huskies until he remember his co-host had a bet on UConn covering the spread.

“As my guy (Blake Corum) was getting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 touchdowns, I was loving it! Then I thought, wait a minute, Jacoby got a bet on this,” said Rose. “I can’t lie, I was like ‘UConn, can you at least score once?’ You know what I mean? Score ONE TIME.”

Unfortunately for Rose’s co-host, the Huskies were unable to score just once. Michigan steamrolled to a 59-0 shutout to move to 3-0.

Starting quarterback JJ McCarthy was electric while completing 15-of-18 passes for 214 yards against UConn. When it was all said and done, the Wolverines played 7 QBs in the game with that group combining to complete 21-of-26 passes for 273 yards.

Looks like Jacoby will regret that bet for a while, but Rose loved the blowout.
