Jett Howard leaves Minnesota game due to ankle injury, Juwan Howard gives update
Jett Howard suffered an apparent ankle injury in the 1st half of Michigan’s 60-56 win over Minnesota on Sunday afternoon.
Howard was not able to return to the game and was spotted with a boot on his left foot.

After the game, Michigan coach — and Jett’s father — Juwan Howard commented on his status.
“I don’t have any information to give you on Jett other than, as you saw, he was in a boot,” Howard said, via MLive.com. “He came back out there (to the bench) for the second half to support his teammates, which was great. I feel sorry for the young man because he hates missing basketball. He’s in love with the game of basketball and he wants to help his team on both ends of the floor. We’re not sure how long he’s going to be out.”
If Howard does miss significant time, it would be an issue for the Wolverines. He’s been arguably Michigan’s best perimeter scorer this season and has become a potential 1st round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
Howard is averaging 15.4 points and 2.5 assists per contest.
Michigan’s next game is on Thursday against Purdue.
