Jim Harbaugh is not in the holiday spirit, blasting one of his rivals on Twitter.

On Sunday night, Mark Dantonio met with the media to talk about Michigan State’s bid in the Holiday Bowl. The bid felt like a consolation prize, as the Spartans were passed up by the Outback Bowl, which opted to take Michigan instead, despite the overall record and head-to-head result.

While several of his players felt disrespected, Dantonio said that the Holiday Bowl was a great opportunity. He also snuck in a subtle jab at the Wolverines, saying “I’ll just continue to focus on beating Michigan.”

When Harbaugh caught wind of that statement, he wasn’t too pleased.

The Michigan head coach took to Twitter on Monday afternoon, blasting Dantonio and the Spartans. He “congratulated” Dantonio on turning around a 3-9 team that was “plagued” with issues off the field.

Yeah, Harbaugh wasn’t too pleased with Dantonio’s comment.

But that’s still a pretty harsh reaction from a coach who has never finished higher than third in the B1G East and is 1-2 against the Spartans. Maybe this isn’t the best time to be trolling on Twitter?

Less than two weeks after the regular season, Harbaugh is already firing shots. It should be an entertaining offseason.
