Every year since taking over at Michigan, Jim Harbaugh has been rumored as a potential candidate to return to the NFL.

In the three previous seasons, Harbaugh has denied the rumors. This year is absolutely no different. Though his name has circulated as a potential candidate for the opening with the Green Bay Packers, the Wolverines head coach says he’s not interested in leaving Ann Arbor.

“This is a choreographed message that comes up at this time every year before signing day,” Harbaugh told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. “It’s people spreading messages to further their own personal agenda.

“But I’m on record right here, right now: I’m not going anywhere. I’m staying at Michigan. We have big plans here, and there’s a lot we want to accomplish.”

Harbaugh has tallied a 38-13 record as the head coach at Michigan since 2015, leading the Wolverines to three 10-win seasons in a four-year span. He’s also led his teams to the postseason every year.

Michigan finished the 2018 campaign with a 10-2 mark and was ranked No. 7 in the final College Football Playoff rankings. The Wolverines were 8-1 in B1G play.

In addition to hitting a double-digit win total, the Wolverines currently own the 11th-best recruiting class for 2019, ranking second in the B1G. There’s an incredibly bright future in Ann Arbor and Harbaugh doesn’t seem interested in ditching it.

Michigan will have one final game this season, taking on No. 10 Florida in the Peach Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 29 in Atlanta.
