The Michigan Wolverines earned what appeared to be an easy 36-14 win over Cincinnati, but much like their Week 1 33-17 win over Florida, coach Jim Harbaugh’s squad struggled more than the final score indicated.

Now, some fans and media members are calling for Harbaugh to replace senior QB Wilton Speight in favor of redshirt freshman Brandon Peters.

However, speaking with reporters on Monday, Harbaugh insisted that the job belongs to Speight and that the Wolverines won’t be making any changes in the coming weeks:

Speight didn’t have a great game against the Bearcats, but didn’t perform terribly either, completing 17 of his 29 pass attempts for 221 yards and two touchdowns (with no interceptions).

Still, if the Wolverines don’t show some improvement the next couple of weeks (against Air Force and Purdue), the calls for a change will only get louder.
