Jim Harbaugh generated serious interest from the NFL at the end of last season, even seriously interviewing for the head coaching job with the Minnesota Vikings. While Harbaugh tried to close the door on NFL interest after returning to the Wolverines, NFL teams have not shut off their interest in the Michigan man.

According to a joint report from NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, multiple NFL teams have been conducting background work on Harbaugh for potential jobs. And while Harbaugh said he intends to remain at Michigan after NFL flirtations last season, one source believes the right job could entice Harbaugh.

From the report:

One NFL source plugged into the situation said they believe Harbaugh would consider a return to the NFL, and a source with another team that could be running a head-coaching search said they believe Harbaugh would discuss an opening if asked and weigh the right situation.

For now, anyone hoping to interview Harbaugh is likely going to have to wait a little longer. The Wolverines wrapped up their second straight B1G title and a 13-0 season Saturday night and await their fate for the College Football Playoff.

As of now, most experts expect Michigan to land the No. 2 seed in the country for the Playoff.
