Jim Harbaugh expected to re-hire former assistant following stint as SEC DC, per report
Jim Harbaugh is reportedly prepared to re-hire a former assistant after a stint on one staff in the SEC.
According to Matt Zenitz with On3 Sports, Harbaugh is expected to add Chris Partridge to the Michigan coaching staff. Partridge was at Ole Miss from 2020-22, most recently serving as the defensive coordinator for Lane Kiffin in 2022.
Prior to his time at Ole Miss, Partridge made a strong rise as a part of Harbaugh’s staff in Ann Arbor. He originally joined the Wolverines as a Director of Player Personnel following a strong run as a high school head coach in New Jersey.
After that, Partridge was elevated to special teams coordinator and LBs coach from 2016-17 and was later the STC and safeties coach from 2018-19. Along the way, Partridge’s reputation as a strong recruiter grew.
