Jim Harbaugh is excited to have a talent such as JJ McCarthy leading the way for the Michigan Wolverines.
He spoke on Michigan’s quarterback position Monday, touching on what it is that makes McCarthy so exciting moving forward, despite there still being a long way to go until he’s a polished product.
“There’s a lot of things that can be learned,” said Harbaugh. “A lot of the fundamentals: his ballhandling, his passing posture. Excited to attack it. JJ’s like a sponge, excited to from game one to game two because there’s clear evidence that he’s already done it.”

McCarthy took the starting job after a strong performance against Hawai’i and has not looked back. He’s got an 80% completion percentage and 5 touchdowns on the season thus far.
The Wolverines look to keep Iowa at bay in a 2021 B1G championship rematch. The game is set for Noon at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City.
