Jim Harbaugh is just glad to have Blake Corum around for this year’s College Football Playoff run.

Corum missed the B1G title game and Playoff semifinal with TCU last season due to a knee injury that he suffered against Illinois late in the year. Not only is Harbaugh glad to have Corum back on the field, but also in the locker room.

“Savage warrior, and the best guy. You’re not gonna meet a finer, better individual. It’s so great to have him back and to have him playing in this game against Alabama,” said Harbaugh. “Tremendous player, leader, captain. They don’t come any finer than Blake Corum.”

Michigan has once again been led by Corum in the backfield. He comes into Monday’s game with 1,028 yards rushing and an FBS-leading 24 touchdowns. The Wolverines will definitely need their leader in the running game to show up against the tough Alabama defense. The Crimson Tide have allowed 124.5 yards on the ground to opposing offenses this season.

The Wolverines and Crimson Tide will both compete for a chance to punch their ticket to the national championship on New Year’s Day. Alabama leads the all-time series 3-2 with the most recent win coming in the 2020 Citrus Bowl.

Kickoff will be at 5 p.m. ET via ESPN.
