The violence, protests and rallies that have occurred in Charlottesville over the past few days has taken the nation by storm.
Many political activists, public figures, former presidents and celebrities have denounced the violence on a multitude of platforms. But on Monday night, a college football coach wanted his voice heard.
Jim Harbaugh took to Twitter on, also denouncing the violent acts that have occurred in the home city of the University of Virginia, calling it an “embarrassment to our country:”
Anyone who demonstrates through violence, terror or intimidation are embarrassments to our country & are truly disrespectful to our flag.
— Coach Harbaugh (@CoachJim4UM) August 15, 2017
Harbaugh is known for his presence on Twitter, often times firing back at coaches or personalities that have knocked his actions in one way or another.
This time, though, Harbaugh’s message was sincere and was aimed at a very important cause.
Hopefully, people will take his message to heart.
