Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan program is deep in leadership. During Tuesday’s press conference, Harbaugh said he’s unable to find a player among the upperclassmen that is not taking every opportunity to get better and be a leader.

“There’s not a guy right now in the junior, senior, 5th-year class that I could point to and say isn’t doing everything they should,” said Harbaugh. “Taking any and every opportunity to maximize it and just be entrusted agents.”

It’s certainly a good problem for any team to have. However, Harbaugh said it got to the point where he had to find a poster person for the program’s mantra of an “enthusiasm unknown to mankind.”

That honor was awarded to Kris Jenkins with Harbaugh revealing there is a special helmet sticker that comes with the honor:

“It’s to the point where I had to make a poster person for who I thought was the most — who really defined ‘enthusiasm unknown to mankind.’ I looked at every player, every coach, I even considered myself,” claimed Harbaugh. “By the power vested in me as the head coach, the poster person for enthusiasm unkown to mankind for the 2023 year is Kris Jenkins. Nice little sticker “EUTM” on the helmet. He’s not the only one who has it.”

Harbaugh also revealed Blake Corum, JJ McCarthy, Zach Marshall “and a few others” hold the honor. But Jenkins is definitely “the poster person.”
