Jim Harbaugh: National title puts him at 'big person's table' for Harbaugh family dinners
Jim Harbaugh’s national title win comes with privileges that have nothing to do with football.
Of course, the national championship is an iconic moment for Michigan football as the program’s first national title since 1997. It is also Harbaugh’s first major title as a head coach after taking a loss to his brother, John Harbaugh, in the Super Bowl.
At the postgame press conference, Harbaugh said he will now allowed to be seated “at the big person’s table” for family dinners. He referenced a national title by his father and the Super Bowl win of his brother that previously kept Jim out of the big person’s table.
“Personally, I can now sit at the big person’s table in the family. They won’t keep me over there on the little table anymore,” said Harbaugh with a chuckle.
“My dad, Jack Harbaugh, won a national championship, and my brother (John) won a Super Bowl. So it’s good to be at the big person’s table from now on.”

Harbaugh’s career featured many highs, but he had not yet climbed to the top of the mountain. Now, he’s a national championship-winning coach, and he joins the ranks of his father and brother as coaches to win a major championship.
