Jim Harbaugh has been coaching for quite some time now, and has had the opportunity to coach some really talented quarterbacks. Andrew Luck, hands down, has been the best.

While at Stanford, the Harbaugh-Luck combination resulted in the Cardinal climbing out of the college football cellar and transitioning into a perennial power and consistent Pac-12 contender.

Over the weekend, surprising news came out of Indianapolis as Luck announced his retirement from the NFL. The 29-year-old quarterback says continued injuries have taken a mental toll on him, forcing him into an early retirement.

With such close ties to Luck, Harbaugh was asked about the former No. 1 overall draft pick. He couldn’t have held Luck in higher regard.
