Coming into 2019, the people in the know at Michigan knew that Week 2 was going to be a battle.

The Wolverines are hosting Army this upcoming weekend. For some, they may not think of Army as much of a threat.

However, in 2018, Army went 11-2. Army lost to Duke on the road in Week 1 and at Oklahoma in late September in overtime. Not too shabby.

Army is a team that is going to be dangerous once again in 2019 and runs the triple-option offense that can be a pain in the you know what to defend. In the preseason AP top 25 poll, Army was in the others receiving votes category and sit right outside the top 25.

Ahead of the Wolverines-Black Knights game, Jim Harbaugh spoke with the media during his weekly press conference and talked about how Army is going to be a challenge:

As Harbaugh mentioned, Don Brown — Michigan’s defensive coordinator — has been preparing for this game since the spring. The Wolverines are taking this upcoming matchup very seriously.

As they should be.
