Jim Harbaugh has Michigan firing on all cylinders, hitting rivalry week against Michigan State with a 7-0 record. The Wolverines will hit the road for East Lansing this weekend, and Harbaugh previewed the week ahead on Monday.

As for the team’s preparation, Harbaugh noted every week is a new challenge and a new puzzle for the team. Michigan will need to pull together this week to get another win and move to 8-0.

“Every week is a new week. Maybe some have the perception that because you did something last week or the week before that it’s going to go exactly that way. Football is definitely a puzzle, new fronts, new coverages, new plays, new schemes,” said Harbaugh. “Offensively, defensively and the special teams. We’ve got to puzzle together. That’s what we’re doing now in preparation in terms of our plan. Then we’ll practice it and look to execute on Saturday.”

A question on everyone’s minds was how Michigan prepares for the rivalry after the emotions of a season ago and postgame altercation in the tunnel. The head noted that the incident feels like a long time ago and referenced JJ McCarthy’s memory of a goldfish analogy.

Harbaugh also confirmed Michigan will practice on grass throughout the week to try and prepare for Spartan Stadium.

As for the matchup, Michigan enters as a heavy favorite after a dominant win in Ann Arbor a season ago. Michigan State is also dealing with the midseason firing of Mel Tucker. Fans looking to get in on the action can use Tradition’s special Michigan Online Casinos code to get started!
