Jim Harbaugh rates Jesus as hypothetical high school recruit
Jim Harbaugh kept the bible jokes coming at the Rose Bowl presser, with the latest one involving Jesus Christ.
Harbaugh gave his thoughts on which biblical character would have been a solid head coach and how high of a star rating Jesus would have had. With the rating Harbaugh gave Jesus, any class would be lucky to gain a commitment.
“Solomon would have been a great coach,” said Harbaugh. “Jesus would have been a 5-star, no doubt.”
For what it’s worth, Harbaugh’s comment was part of a larger quote. The head coach was making a point that Jesus would probably use many sports analogies if he were on earth in our modern era to go along with his use of agriculture analogies used in the bible.
Harbaugh: “I have a feeling that if Jesus were to come back now in this era, I suppose that many of the biblical analogies he’d use would be about sports as well as agriculture. Solomon would’ve been a great coach. Jesus would have been a 5-star. He would’ve been a HOF coach” https://t.co/ymsYpZVpDX

The bible quotes were the theme on Saturday. The Michigan head coach also compared himself to Moses when talking about his coaching staff in Ann Arbor combined with his 6-game absence in the regular season.
It’ll be interesting to see if Harbaugh mentions any other bible characters before Monday’s Rose Bowl kickoff. That game will start at 5 p.m. ET on be shown on ESPN.
