Jim Harbaugh releases statement on 3-game suspension: 'Don't get bitter, get better'
Jim Harbaugh and Michigan have self-imposed a 3-game suspension to start the 2023 season in an attempt to appease the NCAA.
The suspension would start with the season opener East Carolina next weekend and run through the Wolverines’ non-conference schedule against UNLV and Bowling Green. Harbaugh would be set to return for the Big Ten opener against Rutgers.
And Harbaugh released a statement on the self-suspension Monday, offering this piece of advice to his players: “Don’t get bitter, get better.”
Jim Harbaugh’s statement on the 3-game suspension: “I will continue to do what I always tell our players and my kids at home, ‘Don’t get bitter, get better.'”

The Wolverines currently have a +170 chance to win the B1G in 2023, 2nd in the conference behind Ohio State. Of course, Michigan has won the past 2 B1G titles after beating out Ohio State in the east. One of OSU and Michigan have won the title every year dating back to 2016 when Penn State took home the crown.
The Wolverines’ season opener against E. Carolina is set for Sept. 2 at Noon on Peacock.
