Jim Harbaugh is continuing his dance with the NFL this week, and he’s reportedly lined up another interview in the process.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Harbaugh is expected to meet with the Los Angeles Chargers this week. That would be Harbaugh’s second interview with the Chargers this cycle.

For those tracking at home, that is Harbaugh’s second interview with a second NFL franchise. According to earlier reports, Harbaugh will also have a second interview this week with the Atlanta Falcons.

With Harbaugh entering into another level of the interview process, speculation surrounding a return to the NFL will continue to grow. It’s also worth acknowledging Harbaugh’s leverage in negotiations for a long-term extension with Michigan has never been higher.

While the ultimate decision obviously rests with Harbaugh, Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman was not shy about wanting the head coach back in the NFL. During the weekend broadcast of the playoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans, Aikman said he hopes “we see him in the NFL next year.”
