Jim Harbaugh was not in Michigan Stadium for the Week 1 win by the Wolverines. Along with offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore, Harbaugh was serving part of his self-imposed suspension to begin the season.
At his Monday press conference, Harbaugh revealed he watched the game with his assistant coach at Moore’s house. The head coach said the two watched the game together and enjoyed some sandwiches, calling it “excellent” and enjoying what he saw from the Wolverines.
“He invited me. I said ‘Let’s watch the game together,’ he said ‘Why don’t you come over?’ So his wife Kelli had some nice sandwiches, his two daughters were there and my son Johnny,” said Harbaugh. “We had a good time, it was good, excellent. I really loved what I saw out of our team.”
Harbaugh also said he “felt the love” from all the tributes by his players. The leadership of Michigan’s program was also on full display in the game per Harbaugh.
“For us, I thought it was really great. Our captains, our senior leadership, our coaches all were phenomenal,” said Harbaugh. “When we started fall camp, I told our team Moses had 70 leaders. How many do you think we need? More, we need a lot more, and I think we have that.”
Jim Harbaugh says he did indeed watch the game with OC Sherrone Moore, along with their families.
“His wife, Kelli, made sandwiches,” Harbaugh said. “It was good.”
On the various tributes: “I felt the love from them doing them.”
