Jim Harbaugh recently took the opportunity to dote on one of his players.

Sophomore running back Donovan Edwards was injured in the blowout win over Hawaii. Edwards made his return to the field in Week 5, getting 18 snaps against Iowa. Edwards carried the ball 5 times and collected 29 rushing yards, and also caught a 12-yard TD pass.

Recently, Harbaugh was asked about the sophomore running back and said the following:

Harbaugh obviously loves the sophomore running back, but Michigan has another star back on the roster. Blake Corum has had 2 monster games back-to-back for the Wolverines. However, as the game against Iowa showed, if Edwards is healthy, he will get snaps.

While Michigan still managed to remain perfect without Edwards, it is clear that a complimentary back will do wonders for this Wolverine offense.

Michigan looks to carry the momentum to Week 6 when the Wolverines will travel to Bloomington to take on the Indiana Hoosiers.
