Jim Harbaugh isn’t keeping his feelings secret. There’s one specific team he wants to see Aidan Hutchinson suiting up for during the 2022 NFL season.

Detroit.

Harbaugh told Pro Football Focus recently that he’s hoping the former Michigan star is selected by the Lions in this year’s draft. The franchise is selecting No. 2 in this year’s NFL Draft.

“I’m personally rooting for Detroit,” Harbaugh said. “I hope he keeps playing right here in the great state of Michigan.”

Hutchinson is projected to be one of the top selections in this year’s draft after a phenomenal final season at Michigan. He helped lead the Wolverines to a 12-2 record in 2021, a win over Ohio State, a B1G title and a berth in the College Football Playoff.

Hutchinson ended the year as the B1G’s sack leader, tallying 14 for the season. He also piled up 62 tackles, 12 quarterback hurries, 3 pass break-ups and 2 forced fumbles.

Many honors were tossed Hutchinson’s way after an outstanding year. He was named the B1G Defensive Player of the Year, B1G Defensive Lineman of the Year, earned first-team All-B1G and All-American honors and was a Heisman Trophy finalist.

We’ll see where Hutchinson lands when the 2022 NFL Draft gets underway later this month.
