With the end of the NFL’s regular-season comes a flurry of moves regarding head coaches. Along with those moves will come more rumors linking Jim Harbaugh to a potential move back to the NFL.

One team that is particularly intriguing to some is the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins officially parted ways with head coach Brian Flores after 3 seasons despite a strong finish to 2021. Flores finishes his time at Miami with a 24-25 overall record.

With Flores’ departure, many were quick to speculate if the Dolphins would target Harbaugh for the opening. However, it does not appear that Miami is interested this time around.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, Miami’s decision to part ways with Flores was an independent move unrelated to Harbaugh’s potential availability. Darlington also reported the Dolphins are not going going to target Harbaugh.

Following Michigan’s strong run this season under Harbaugh, it will be interesting to see if any NFL team does make a serious run at luring him back to the NFL.
