Fans hoping to get some clarity on an expected return for Michigan wide receiver Tarik Black will have to continue to wait.

During his weekly press conference on Monday, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh said that there’s no timetable for Black’s return this season. Black, who suffered a right foot injury one week before the season opener against Notre Dame, recently underwent surgery.

“Not a timetable as of right now,” Harbaugh said. “He did have surgery on his foot so everything is rehab right now and healing.”

This is the second foot injury in two years for Black. Last year, the receiver injured his left foot early in the season. At the time of his injury, he was Michigan’s top pass-catcher.

Black was expected to be a playmaker for the Wolverines at receiver this year after making the recovery from his left foot injury. He’s played in just three games in his college career, catching 11 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown.

Black has not played in a game yet this season.
