Jim Harbaugh is focused on getting his team ready to face Ohio State this weekend. So much so that the head coach was not interested in answering a question about the respect level between the two programs.

At his Monday press conference, it was pointed out to Harbaugh that the two sides have traditionally had a shared respect between the coaching staffs. When asked about his respect for Ryan Day and the Buckeye coaches, Harbaugh sidestepped the idea and pointed to a need to prepare for The Game.

“Um, it’s uh, it’s all about our preparation for Ohio. The days, the minutes, the hours, everything leading up to this game, that’s where our focus is,” said Harbaugh. “Preparing ourselves and planning. Got to practice and then execute. Anything else is irreleveant when you get into this kind of big game week.”

That’s certainly one way to not answer a question. Sometimes, the weight of the response is in what an individual opts not to say.

As for Saturday’s game, Harbaugh will be looking for his third straight win over Day and the Buckeyes when kickoff arrives in the Big House.
