Jim Harbaugh knows Michigan will face a tall task in the Fiesta Bowl. One of the toughest challenges comes in the form of TCU quarterback Max Duggan.

A Heisman finalist, Duggan has been the leader for the Horned Frogs all season long. He produced a number of memorable rallies and drives for TCU in 2022, including a game-tying drive for the ages in the Big 12 Championship Game.

After landing in Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl, Harbaugh addressed what Duggan has accomplished in 2022. However, Harbaugh also touched on his own QB in the form of JJ McCarthy.

“He’s one of the best players in the country leading one of the best teams in the country,” said Harbaugh. “Tremendous competitor. He’s so productive. Total offense and leadership and everything. You can tell, he’s on a mission. And so is our guy, J.J. McCarthy.”

During the 2022 season, Duggan threw for over 3,300 yards and added 404 yards rushing with 36 total touchdowns for the Horned Frogs. Though he completed just 50% of his passes in the loss to Kansas State, Duggan is a tough challenge for any team to handle.

Michigan’s defense will need to be at the top of its game to slow down the Horned Frogs.
