Jim Harbaugh was asked about injury updates for running back Donovan Edwards and tight end Luke Schoonmaker in Monday’s presser ahead of Week 12’s matchup with Illinois.

His response? “We’ll see.”

It’s not much, but there is optimism for a return. Schoonmaker was out last week against Nebraska and Edwards was taken out early in the game, both with undisclosed injuries.

Schoonmaker is second on the team in both receptions (30) and receiving yards (315). He has been Erick All’s replacement with All missing the remainder of the season with yet another undisclosed injury.

Edwards has been the clear backup behind star running back Blake Corum and has rushed for 473 yards and 4 scores. He’s also a versatile threat in the passing game and a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.

Michigan (10-0, 7-0 B1G) is looking to finish the season strong, but the Wolverines have been getting banged up in recent weeks. The Wolverines will face Illinois at home before a highly anticipated matchup with Ohio State for the B1G East title.
