Jim Harbaugh may have to rework his starting LB rotation before Saturday’s game. It was revealed that 1 of his starting LBs is battling an injury per Aaron McMann of Mlive.
Nikhai Hill-Green has been diagnosed with a soft-tissue injury, and is questionable for the season opener. He appeared in all 14 games last season, with 6 starts at linebacker. Harbaugh is hoping that the team will know more about his status soon.
“We’ll see if Nikhai Hill-Green is able to play this week,” said Harbaugh on the “Inside Michigan Football” radio show. “Hopefully midweek we’ll find out where he’s at.”
Harbaugh also mentioned a couple of LBs that have caught his eye. Junior Colson and Kalel Mullings have been mirroring each other in the way that they play. We’ll see if any updates come out before the game.
“Junior Colson continues to look like the real deal,” said Harbaugh. “Kalel Mullings looks a lot like Junior in the way he plays. Two really great inside backers there.”
