Jim Harbaugh updates outlook for key Michigan OL following injury vs. Indiana

Michigan offensive tackle Trente Jones suffered a serious lower leg injury and was carted off in the 31-10 win at Indiana. Head coach Jim Harbaugh confirmed in his press conference that the senior tackle likely suffered a high ankle sprain.
Jim Harbaugh says Trente Jones “probably has one of those dreaded high-ankle sprains.” He was pleased with how Karsen Barnhart filled in at right tackle.

It is not known the extent of Jones’ high ankle sprain and how he could be out. This is the first full-season start for Jones as a member of the Wolverines.
Senior Karsen Barnhart came in place of Jones for the remainder of the second half. This was Barnhart’s 20th career game played as a Wolverine.
The offense for Michigan accumulated 469 total yards, with 165 of them coming from the rushing game. The offensive line of the Wolverines allowed 5 tackles for loss from the defense of the Hoosiers.
No. 4 Michigan will host No. 10 Penn State in a likely top-10 matchup in Week 7.
