Jim Harbaugh updates status of QB Dylan McCaffrey

Published:
Michigan looked brilliant in Saturday’s game against Penn State, but the team lost one key reserve in the win.
Quarterback Dylan McCaffrey did see some playing time in the win over the Nittany Lions, carrying the ball twice for 14 yards. Unfortunately, Jim Harbaugh announced after the game that McCaffrey suffered a broken collarbone in the game. No immediate timetable was given for the injury, but he will likely miss an extended amount of time.
Shea Patterson was never in any danger of losing his starting job, but McCaffrey has played at times this season. McCaffrey has eight carries for 85 yards a touchdown. He has also completed 8-of-15 passes for 126 and 2 TDs.
