Michigan struggled just slightly against Rutgers, but eventually regained composure and took care of business in the 2nd half. And on a day where top 10 teams were dropping like flies, that’s all you can ask for.

The Wolverines should look even better next week against Nebraska. Starting WR Roman Wilson and starting LT Ryan Hayes should be back in action in Week 11 after not making the trip to Piscataway in Week 10.

Harbaugh noted this postgame.

Michigan cannot afford many more semi-close calls anymore, especially with the window to the Playoff so wide open. The Wolverines could make it in the field with or without a loss to Ohio State on Nov. 26, but the easier path is to take care of business in The Game for the 2nd year in a row.

Easier said than done.
