The jury is still out on whether or not Michigan’s junior running back Blake Corum will be entering the 2023 NFL Draft. His decision will likely come after the Wolverine’s College Football Playoff run, but that hasn’t stopped the speculation.

Obviously, his coaches and teammates would love to have him back, but ultimately it’s up to Corum. J.J. McCarthy spoke on the situation during media availability ahead of the team’s Fiesta Bowl matchup with TCU.

“I don’t like getting into that with guys because I don’t want to sway their choice in life,” McCarthy said. “But I definitely have been in his ear a little bit, just asking and picking his brain.”

Despite his recent injury, Corum still projects as a 3rd or 4th round prospect, which could mean a solid pay day for the star back. However, with the new opportunities that NIL offers, the decision isn’t so easy. The decision could come down to what he wants to achieve at the collegiate level.

Corum was a serious Heisman contender pre-injury, so if Michigan doesn’t win the national championship, he might just run it back for another shot at both coveted trophies.
