JJ McCarthy is confident in Michigan regardless of who the opponent is for the College Football Playoff. That includes a potential rematch of The Game against Ohio State in the postseason.

On Saturday night, McCarthy shined as the Wolverines rolled past Purdue for their second straight B1G title. Though Donovan Edwards won MVP for the game, McCarthy was effective throwing the ball and buying time with his feet.

After the win, McCarthy was asked about a potential rematch with Ohio State in the final four. The Wolverines are likely to be slotted as the No. 2 overall seed while many expect the Buckeyes to bump up to No. 3 or No. 4 after losses by USC and TCU.

For McCarthy, he would welcome the rematch calling a potential rematch a blessing:

“Please, please, bring it on. That would be truly a blessing if we get a shot to play those boys again,” said McCarthy per ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.

We’ll find out soon if McCarthy gets his wish.
