JJ McCarthy delivers game-tying TD drive late in Rose Bowl vs. Alabama
JJ McCarthy led Michigan on a crucial, game-tying touchdown drive with just 1:34 remaining in regulation vs. Alabama on Monday.
The drive included several big passes from McCarthy, including a chunk play on 4th and 2 early on in the drive. McCarthy finished things off with a 4-yard touchdown pass to Roman Wilson.

McCarthy has had an inconsistent game overall against the Tide, but has stepped up in the 4th quarter. McCarthy is 6-of-9 for 87 yards and a touchdown in the final stanza of this game.
This was McCarthy’s 3rd touchdown pass of the game. Blake Corum and Tyler Morris caught the previous TD’s, which both came in the first half.
Michigan is trying to get the national championship game for the first time in the College Football Playoff era. The Wolverines bowed out in the semifinals in each of the previous 2 seasons.
