JJ McCarthy is heading into his pre-draft process, and Michigan’s title-winning quarterback will have a chance to impress teams at the NFL Combine.

On Tuesday, the NFL confirmed a full list of 321 players who have been invited to attend the NFL Combine. The event begins in two weeks on Feb. 26 and will run through March 4 in Indianapolis.

The QB position is always an area of interest and intrigue at the event, and this year the position will be magnified. McCarthy is 1 of 14 QBs invited with that group including a pair of Heisman Trophy winners in USC’s Caleb Williams and LSU’s Jayden Daniels. Former Michigan QB Joe Milton is also invited.

Here is the full list of QBs invited:

  • Jayden Daniels, LSU
  • Sam Hartman, Notre Dame
  • Devin Leary, Kentucky
  • Drake Maye, North Carolina
  • J.J. McCarthy, Michigan
  • Joe Milton III, Tennessee
  • Bo Nix, Oregon
  • Michael Penix Jr., Washington
  • Michael Pratt, Tulane
  • Spencer Rattler, South Carolina
  • Austin Reed, Western Kentucky
  • Kedon Slovis, BYU
  • Jordan Travis, Florida State
  • Caleb Williams, USC

Players invited do not always perform at the NFL Combine, and attending the event does not guarantee players will do all the workouts or throw in Indy. Still, McCarthy has a chance to be one of the impressive participants if he takes part in the combine.

ESPN’s Matt Miller touched on McCarthy’s draft stock and said the scouting world loves what Michigan’s star brings to the table. In addition to being coachable, Miller predicted McCarthy would put on a show if he throws at the combine.

McCarthy is highly unlikely to make a push to be the top QB selected, even if Jim Harbaugh believes McCarthy will be the first QB off the board. Caleb Williams is still the heavy favorite to become the No. 1 overall pick, but McCarthy is trending toward a first-round selection.
