JJ McCarthy is set to lead his Michigan Wolverines in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day. The Wolverines will have a tough task in the game as they take on the No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff.

Ahead of that matchup, it was revealed that McCarthy would wear custom Jordan cleats for the game. The QB will rock the special cleats for the big game.

The shoes are a cleat version of the classic “Jordan 1” shoe. The cleats are black with a yellow swoosh and Air Jordan logo. In honor of the Rose Bowl, the cleats also feature red roses on the heels.

The Wolverines have been sponsored by Jordan since 2016. The legendary brand provides uniforms and apparel for programs at Michigan, North Carolina, and Oklahoma, just to name a few.

McCarthy is looking to get the Wolverines their first national championship since the 1997 season. To do that, the team will have to get by the Crimson Tide in Los Angeles. The team will then play the winner of the Sugar Bowl between Washington and Texas.

The Wolverines and Tide will kick off from Pasadena on New Year’s Day at 5:00 p.m. ET.
