JJ McCarthy stays around, takes in TCU celebration after crushing Fiesta Bowl loss
JJ McCarthy is not ready to leave the field in Glendale after a disappointing Colleg Football Playoff performance. After falling to TCU by a score of 51-45, McCarthy was seen staying on the field watching TCU players, coaches and fans celebrate.
McCarthy did not have his best game, throwing 2 INTs and taking 4 sacks. Both of his interceptions were returned for touchdowns, providing massive blows to the Wolverines.

The Wolverines entered the game as an 8-point favorite, with their eyes set on their 1st national championship since 1997.
McCarthy finished the game 20-of-34 for 343 yards, 2 TDs, and 2 INTs. McCarthy also contributed 52 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD.
McCarthy certainly should not hang his head too low. The young QB led the Wolverines to a 13-0 record before finally losing a game. McCarthy finished the regular season with a 65.3% completion percentage, with 20 TDs to only 3 INTs.
The Horned Frogs will now wait to see who they will play for the National Championship.
