JJ McCarthy taking 'full responsibility' for mishaps against Maryland

McCarthy finished the game with 220 yards passing and 2 touchdowns. There were some moments, especially in the first half, where the Michigan offense did not look its best. Michigan went into halftime only up 17-13, thanks to a Blake Corum score late in the 2nd quarter.
McCarthy stated that his arm felt good, and that he is taking full responsibility for the mistakes he made.
“I take full responsibility for the throws I missed,” said McCarthy.

Michigan will need to play better against the rest of its B1G schedule, but luckily it’s still very early on. The Wolverines will have a rematch of the 2021 B1G Championship next with Iowa on Oct. 1
That game does not have a time set for it yet, but will be broadcast on FOX.
