Joel Klatt discusses chance Jim Harbaugh leaves Michigan for NFL
There’s growing discussion about the possibility of Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh returning to the NFL coaching ranks.
It remains to be seen if Harbaugh will depart the Wolverines after capturing the B1G title and qualifying for the College Football Playoff. However, FOX Sports’ Joel Klatt is supremely confident that if Harbaugh did try his hand again at the pro level, he would be successful.
Harbaugh coached the San Francisco 49ers from 2011-14 and guided the franchise to the NFC Championship Game three times, along with a Super Bowl appearance in 2012.
Klatt gave his take during an appearance on The Herd:
“If he leaves, he will succeed. He’s succeeded everywhere he’s been immediately. Wherever he goes, they’ll probably start winning right away.”

Klatt believes there’s factors for why Harbaugh would stay at Michigan but added that the allure of transforming a downtrodden NFL franchise holds appeal.
