Joel Klatt gave his opinion on the recent news that Jim Harbaugh will be suspended for the final 3 games of the regular season. He missed Michigan’s win over Penn State last Saturday and can coach with the team, just not on the sidelines.

And Klatt understands that part. But he’s not a huge fan of how it all went down.

During his podcast Klatt insisted he does not think the suspension should have been levied just before Michigan’s biggest test of the year up to that point.

“I understand that it has to be Jim Harbaugh to embody the program and there has to be someone held accountable and that somebody is going to be the highly-paid head coach… I don’t think it should’ve happened on a Friday afternoon before a game.”

The Wolverines are in great shape right now, but it all comes down to The Game. If Michigan can win that over Ohio State, their chances of reaching the CFP skyrocket. Lose and the chances are very likely dashed.

One week at a time, though. Michigan takes on Maryland with Sherrone Moore on the sidelines as HC this Saturday at Noon from College Park on FOX.
