Joel Klatt did not hold back when it comes to the NCAA investigation and the reported infractions by the Michigan program under Jim Harbaugh.

In a recent episode of his personal podcast, Klatt shredded the NCAA for what he perceives to be a heavy-handed reaction to the violations of the Wolverines. Klatt even feigned shock at the NCAA’s existence on the matter in regard to the other issues facing college sports at the moment.

“What? Wait wait wait, what? So, No. 1, let me get this straight: The NCAA still exists? Alright, well, news to a lot of us,” Klatt said, “Based on what’s going on in the realm of intercollegiate that the NCAA is going to step up and thankfully protect those kids from getting, what, a text message? A Five Guys burger during a Covid-dead period?”

Klatt finally wrapped up the segment by questioning the NCAA for getting worked up over violations from Covid dead periods:

“So the NCAA apparently is still out there. Hey, how about that,” explained Klatt. “And like, for this? For a Covid dead period violation?… What are we talking about? I’m sorry, what are we doing?”
