John Bol is starting to narrow the focus of his recruitment. The 7-footer out of Wichita, Kansas named his top 8 options on Friday.

Michigan is the only B1G program to make the top 8 for Bol. He’s also considering Florida, Missouri, Overtime Elite, Texas, UConn, USC and Wake Forest.

Bol has already taken an official visit to Michigan. He shared a positive review of his visit to Ann Arbor with Joe Tipton of On3.

“When I went to Michigan, I would say the whole coaching staff stood out to me,” Bol told On3. “They took the time to get to know me and my whole family. I talk to them all on like a weekly basis.

“The team, too. The culture of the team, how they practice, and everything they do as a team stood out. They are all there as a family if one person is down, everyone is there to pick him up. That’s something that is rare for a team. Michigan itself is a big school with a lot of kids and a lot to do. And it is a good school too. It was all good in Michigan.”

Bol is rated 5-stars, the No. 4 center and No. 22 prospect overall nationally in the 2024 recruiting class on the 247Sports Composite.
